Sydney, 19 May 2011
Leading specialist IT outsourcing provider, ASE, today described how its Best Of Breed Cloud technology has assisted key customer, Australian Power & Gas (ASX: APK), in their dynamic growth strategy and their recent BRW Fast Starter announcement.
ASE Managing Director, Andrew Sjoquist, comments, “Australian Power & Gas required us to implement Disaster Recovery As A Service (DRaaS) from our Cloud, effectively replicating their NetApp storage to ASE’s StorCloud constantly and also replicating their VMware Server environment to ASE’s CPUCloud using VMware SRM.”
Introduced to Australian Power & Gas by key partner VMtech, who helped deploy the Australian Power & Gas internal NetApp and VMWare infrastructure, the ASE Cloud provides business continuity in light of a disaster. VMtech CEO, Len Findlay, agrees, “We chose to partner with ASE to provide Cloud technology as we knew they had a trusted and proven DR offering.”
ASE’s new Business Continuity Centre at Mascot, enables Australian Power & Gas to return its business, financial and reporting systems to full operation within minutes of a disaster occurring, plus provide office space and office IT facilities during a disaster.
Australian Power & Gas Chief Information Officer, Joseph Gullotta said “It was essential we partnered with a company who could provide us with a reliable, stable DR strategy that could increase, on-demand, in line with our business growth, letting us focus on our core business. ASE provides our investors with certainty and comfort, by using proven, Best Of Breed NetApp & Cisco technology.”
Celebrating their 10th year providing IT services to Australian businesses, ASE’s market leading Cloud and Professional Services are helping customers create a cost effective, competitive advantage.
